Quest introduced steel drums to the Roanoke Valley in 2001. This program has quickly grown to a phenomenon. Quest steel drum program includes ten bands, two of which are based in Blacksburg. Our bands include members of all ages, enabling families to have fun and spend time together.

Quest steel bands perform extensively, presenting concerts each year at the Jefferson Center, Dickens of a Christmas, the Lyric Theater in Blacksburg, Henderson Lawn Concert Series at Virginia Tech, Virginia Heights Concert Series, and group and state conferences. The bands perform each year at the Virginia Art Festival Caribbean Music Festival and have earned gold and silver medals.

The 2007-2008 season’s performances will include concerts on the campus of James Madison University, Costal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, International Association of Pan Enthusiasts in Akron, OH, and a performance cruise to Bermuda in June of 2008.
