Classes
We offer music classes for beginners though advanced students for ages five though adults. Our classes are taught in small group format to help students learn from each other while receiving one-on-one help from our instructors. Classes meet once a week, and students learn to play the types of music they most enjoy- not endless rounds of arcane classical etudes.
Current Classes
Steel Drum
Go tropical with the music of the Caribbean! Students will learn the basics of playing in an authentic steel drum orchestra. No musical experience is required. We’ll teach you all you need to know to master this unique instrument. You’ll be playing favorite tunes like “Day-O” in your very first class. Our steel drum classes include students of all ages- a perfect family activity.
Kids Broadway
Learn to sing like the stars of Broadway with this introduction to theater-style singing for kids. Students will learn fundamentals of singing, choreography and movement, while developing stage presence and self-confidence. Recommended for students in K-5th.
Piano
The classic music lession made fun. Unlike traditional piano classes, we get students playing songs they’ll like in the first lesson. We keep lessons lively, using games and activities to teach the fundamentals of musicianship, including reading music, counting, musical theory, and ear training. Specialized classes for students in K-1st, 2nd-5th, and 6th through adult. We also offer classes for students looking to continue beyond the basics in the fun atmosphere of a group lessons.
Strings
We’ll keep students giggling with our violin classes that teach students the “serious” skills they need to play the violin. You provide the violin, and we’ll teach you to be a violin virtuoso. Beginning students learn the basics of reading music, bowing and fingering. COntinuing student learn to play in a variety of musical styles, including classical, Celtic and fiddling. Grades K-adult.
Percussion
Do you have a budding drummer in your house? Give them something to drum on other than the kitchen table. Quest percussion classes give students the foundations of drumming. We’ll learn to play the trap set, timbales and congas, as well as the “odds and ends” of percussion, including the cowbell, go-go, and break drum. Continuing students have the opportunity to join the “Engine Room” and perform with Quest Steel Drum Bands. Grades 3rd through adult.
Beginning Guitar
Rock out with guitar lessons. Students learn major and minor chords, strum patterns and more. Mom and Dad are welcome to sign up, too! Grades 4th- adult.
